Our world is becoming more polarized than ever, creating new challenges and complexities for sustainable development. The 2025 Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference and Exhibition which was held from April 29 to May 1 2025 with the theme “Humanitarian Aid and Development in a Polarized World.” The event underscored the urgent need for innovative, collaborative, and inclusive approaches to tackle the complex humanitarian challenges stemming from global divisions and conflicts.
At AYGF, we recognize the critical importance of humanitarian aid and the need for inclusivity in today’s polarized world. As the international landscape continues to shift, humanitarian aid and development efforts must evolve to reflect both global challenges and local realities. DIHAD 2025 created a platform for meaningful discussions that emphasized collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the establishment of effective, sustainable partnerships.
We are also proud to highlight the participation of our Executive Director, Dr Arome Salifu. Dr. Arome actively contributed to conversations on the future of humanitarian aid, particularly on the importance of localizing aid, empowering communities, and strengthening partnerships across sectors. His insights on integrating innovation and capacity building into humanitarian efforts were well-received, further reinforcing AYGF’s commitment to advancing the humanitarian sector through strategic collaboration.
DIHAD 2025 emphasized the need for innovative, inclusive responses in a polarized world. Aligned with this vision, AYGF is committed to bridging divides through localized solutions, community empowerment, and collaborative partnerships that foster sustainable development.
